CDB (constant database) is a fast, reliable and simple package for creating or reading constant databases. It maps keys to values in a machine independent format, allowing the number of values to be unlimited. The program can manage databases up to 4 gigabytes, and can perform lookups in a single disk access. It can also be used in mission-critical applications, such as email, without the risk of system crashes. It is available in Perl, Python and Ruby libraries.
